Crochet Rain Boot Amigurumi

by | All Designs, Crochet, Free Patterns, Kids & Toys

I had this goal of designing a new amigurumi every month this year, but that kinda fell apart once we really got deep into looking for, and buying, a house. I still have a few months to catch up though, so here’s a little crochet rain boot that I thought would be more appropriate in spring, but it’s actually just as rainy, if not more, right now in the middle of summer!

Like the other amigurumi patterns in my 2018 Amigurumi Advent Calendar, this crochet rain boot is made using LoveCrochet Paintbox Cotton Aran, which comes in a rainbow, or rather, paintbox, of colors! The cotton helps each stitch stand out and gives each amigurumi a really wonderful defined shape, something that maybe a more fuzzy, worsted weight yarn would not be able to do.

The amigurumi crochet rain boot is worked up in one piece, from the sole to the leg. You can use this pattern for a stuffed keychain, or leave it unstuffed and use it for dolls!

It’s been a while since I’ve published an amigurumi pattern, so if you need a bit of a refresher on relevant skills, you can check out the Amigurumi Flan video tutorial, which takes you all the way through a basic amigurumi, from the magic circle to the amigurumi close.
