DIY T-Shirt Crafts: A New Book from My Friend Adrianne!

by | Blog

I know I haven’t been around much, but I’ve got some really exciting news to share with y’all!Β My friend Adrianne Surian of Happy Hour Projects just published her first craft book, DIY T-Shirt Crafts! A real, hold-it-in-your-hands, buy-it-off-the-bookshelf, tangible, bound book! And it’s gorgeous!

DIY T-Shirt Crafts by Adrianne Surian

Why the excitement? Because Adrianne is one of my first and best blog friends. The blogging world is huge, and like the in-person world, sometimes you meet people who touch your life briefly and other times, you meet people who become wonderful friends. Adrianne is the latter. I finally got to meet her the other day and it felt weird to say “Nice to meet you” because we already know each other; it was only the face-to-face “meeting” that took so long to happen. We’ve shared our blogging experiences, frustrations and goals, and I’m so happy to see one of her dreams come true in the form of this book.

Beyond just being excited for her success, there’s even more fun to be had. Five lucky readers will win a copy of the book, and there’s also an Instagram sweepstakes to win a pair of Fiskars spring-loaded scissors. Read on, read on!

DIY T-Shirt Crafts is a collection of 50 ways to recycle an old tee. In it, you’ll find scarves and jewelry, accessories, home decor, gifts, and more. The projects are designed to take an hour or less, and you don’t need a sewing machine to make them – some projects require little more than a tee and a sharp pair of scissors!

Here’s a look at a few of the projects you’ll find in the book:

DIY T-Shirt Crafts is available online at Amazon*Β and Barnes & Noble, or ask for it at your local bookstore. It hit the shelves yesterday, August 1st. (includes affliate links)

I’ve been cleaning out my closets recently and have been stockpiling old shirts. My first instinct is to create t-shirt yarn and crochet something, but now the inspiration bug has bitten and I can’t wait to try out all these fun projects, especially the plant hanger! Is there a particular project you’re excited to make? Do you have a bunch of old shirts hanging around just waiting to be turned into something awesome?

I absolutely love upcycling tees! I make my boys tees from daddy and big brothers old ones, some of these projects look perfect for the smaller leftovers that I never know what to do with!

I would love to win this book. Between myself and my husband we have a ton of T’s that I can up cycle. I’ve been wanting to make t-shirt yarn for awhile and winning this book would give me an excuse to do so, sooner rather than later!
