Change your Favicon on Blogger

by | Blog, Uncategorized

Here’s a quick little tip for y’all – how to change the your Favicon.  Favicon?  WT..?  It’s that little icon next to the title on each tab in your internet browser.  If you use Blogger, like me, the default icon is the little orange blogger icon.  You’ll notice that Facebook, Etsy, and many other blogs and website have icons to match their site design, and now you can too!  It’s a great way to differentiate your blog a bit, especially if you’re like me and have 15 different windows open at the same time…and it’s ridiculously easy to do – no coding involved!
On your Blogger dashboard, go to Design and on the top left of the screen, you’ll see a widget box for Favicon.  Click the “Edit” in that widget box, and a new window will pop up asking you to upload your icon file.  My icon happened to be 500×500 pixels, but the required size is not specified.  Just make it square and under 100kB.  Upload it, save it, and you’re done.
How cool is that?  It’s so much easier than a lot of other customizations you can do on your blog!  The hardest part was trying to design the button!  (Although it’s so small it really doesn’t matter…)

What a great tip! I thought it was way more complicated than that. I’ve just tried it and for some reason it’s not working on my blog, though :/.

Hope you’ve started the week off with a huge smile! ;D
