I know, I know, it’s only November, so what am I doing with an Advent Calendar Roundup already. But holy cow, it’s November! If I want an advent calendar that starts on December 1st, I’d better get crackin’! And these days, everything takes a long time. I need to:
- find inspiration
- stew on it for a few days
- find the perfect combination of enough sleep, quiet baby and nice weather in order to go out and buy supplies
- then procrastinate some more and let the supplies sit in the dining room for a few days
before I finally get around to putting the project together. So yeah, for me, this is not too early at all to be looking at advent calendars and thinking about what I’m going to do this year.
What about you? When do you start thinking about advent calendars and the holiday season? In case you’re trying to get a head start this year, here’s a collection of 25 Advent Calendars to make! Many of these projects have printables, downloadable templates and tutorials. Some use regular items around the house and some can be made with simple supplies from your craft stash. Enjoy! Hi there!
These are amazing!! Beautiful creative and so inspiring Advent Calendars, I feel so honoured to have mine included to this awesome list of ideas. Thank you 🙂
I hope we see more of these DIY-calendars this year as well, more inspiration for the next year ^_^!
You are the best at roundups! I love this one. Though I don’t think I am going to make an advent calendar this year…. I need to get started on some other holiday crafts!
Thanks Steph! I figure if I’m looking and stalking Pinterest, I might as well round it up for other people! I haven’t decided what I’m going to do yet. I’m sure my son would love a Hot Wheels advent somehow, so I gotta think about it still. 🙂
Thank you for your wonderful idea as well!
Thank you for your great idea. These are fabulous .
Ha ha. ChiWei you crack me up. I, too, share some of those same habits of mulling over a project before going and buying supplies and then letting the supplies hang around collecting dust for a few days while I mull some more! Ahhh, the life of a crafty procrastinator!
But I was really delighted to see the pin to this post because I’m actually in the midst of working on an advent calendar for us this year (or rather, in the “seeking inspiration” phase), so this post is chock FULL of ideas that have my gears-a-turnin’. Thanks, girlie!
Love these ideas especially the winter woollies one. Could you do something similar with ideas for what to put in the calendar other than chocolates? My husband’s birthday is almost on top of Christmas so our Advent calendar is filled with goodies for him to make it a birthday month. Shopping for men is difficult and shopping for teeny tiny things for a man can be really tough 🙂
LOVE all of those! What a great collection of well designed calendars!
Thank you Vanessa!
Wow, um, I don’t have a lot of ideas off the top of my head. Maybe you can fill the calendar with money so he can buy himself something nice at the end of the month? 🙂
Some great ideas here! We are doing a book themed Advent Calendar for the second year running, two little elves bring us a different book each day and use a few props to make scenes from the book. It’s a lot of fun 🙂
What a cute selection – the Winter Woollens calendar is such a simple, effective idea!
