Sometimes in the midst of several large projects, I need to take a mental break and work on something quick and easy, with instant gratification, to renew my interest and motivation and love of all things yarn. I haven’t posted a round-up in ages, but I figure now is a good time to share these 15 free chunky crochet patterns made with Lion Brand’s Wool Ease Thick and Quick. I’m restricting myself to projects that require no more than 2 skeins to finish, and with the big chunky yarn, that means these are all things you can make in an afternoon or evening or over the weekend!
Lion Brand offers so many beautiful colorways in their Wool Ease Thick and Quick Yarn, it’s hard to choose which ones to use! I love rich, solid colors, but subtly patterned colors like Moonlight, Fossil and Hudson Bay bring texture and depth that a solid color can’t quite achieve. Even colors like Charcoal, which looks very dark, has small streaks of gray in it, so the beanie I made from it doesn’t look completely flat. And don’t even start me on Glacier – I want to use that so badly for a project! What do you think about making a super chunky humpback whale with Glacier and Denim Twist? There’s an idea.
Here’s a look at easy, free, and quick-to-finish crochet projects that’ll keep you cozy from head to toe!
