Homemade Gift Tags Day 7: Stamped Words

by | DIY, Paper, Winter

OK, these Stamped Gift Tags will be my last post before Thanksgiving.  Because there is family at my house and I’ve barely begun the cooking of the food.  6 adults, 4 kids under 4 years old, 2 dogs.  Let’s just say, it’s lively here!

I bought a whole bunch of alphabet stamps way back in the day, and they’re organized pretty well right now in my super duper card catalog storage.  But as much as I love the look of well organized drawers (insert underwear joke here), what’s the use of having them if I don’t use them?

For these tags, I just stamped a word on, punched a shape out, and put a piece of cardstock behind the punched shape.  I actually punched a circle out of the cardstock so it looks decent from the back too; that way I didn’t need to use another tag to cover the back.  You know, KISS – keep it simple silly.

These tags can be altered for all sorts of occasions.  I mean, that LOVE one could just as easily be used for Valentine’s day!  It would all depend on the type of paper punch that you have.  I did have to keep my words short since my stamps were pretty big.  And I can only stamp so many letters before I lose concentration and the results get all wonky.  Short attention span, I suppose.

Alright, I’m off!  To all my dear readers, have a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Enjoy this precious time with your family and friends, and if you’re hosting the big meal, try not to lose your sanity! 🙂
