I’m sharing a template for a bow tie gift box today -> just a little variation of those little pillow boxes that you can make from toilet paper rolls or pieces of cardboard. A little folding, a little glue, a little decoration, and voila, you’ve got yourself a cute little box to hold a bit of candy. As I stared at pictures of pillow boxes, I thought that with a little alteration, they could probably look a lot like a 3D paper bow tie!
For some odd reason, I always associate Father’s Day with neckwear. I don’t know why, since my husband rarely wears ties, but there’s just something so …oh, I don’t know. I love a man in a good suit.
Mooooving on….
The template is available for FREE download (I know, I’m wonderful) as a PDF and of course, a .studio file for you handy Silhouette Cameo users. Scroll down to the bottom of this post for the download links. (I couldn’t get an SVG file to load and save properly, so unfortunately, I don’t have SVG format available for this project.)
So, this might be one of my easiest projects EVAH. Like, seriously. And I’ve made a few easy projects in my day.
This is also the first time I’ve used my camera remote to take pictures of myself, so I had a bit of fun hanging out with the kiddies in my craft room taking selfies.
All you need is a piece of cardstock, something to cut with, and a piece of double-sided tape (or any sticky gadget of your choice).
Print or cut out the template on the solid lines. Fold the template in half on the dotted lines and fold the tab down. Glue the tab to the other side of the cardstock. Then fold the curved portions in on itself to give the pillow box it’s shape. BOOM.
Alrighty, here ya go! Enjoy!
